Trial by fire: Protected. But under pressure to perform.
What global executives expect of information security – in the middle of the world’s worst economic downturn in thirty years October 2009

The Global State of Information Security 2010 is a worldwide security survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers, CIO Magazine and  CSO Magazine. It was conducted online from April 22 to June 15, 2009. Readers of CIO and CSO Magazines and clients of PricewaterhouseCoopers from around the globe were invited via  email to take the survey. The results discussed in this report are based on the responses of more than 7,200 CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, CSOs, vice presidents and directors of IT and information security from 130 countries. Thirty-one percent (31%) of respondents were  from North America, 27% from Asia, 26% from Europe, 14% from South America, and 2% from the Middle East and South Africa. The margin of error is ±1%.

Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (29 September)—Celebrating its 40^th anniversary this year, ISACA has achieved an additional milestone in 2009—certifying the 70,000^th Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) since the credential’s inception in 1978. During this time, the certification has seen consistent annual growth, and to meet demand, ISACA now offers the CISA exam twice annually in 11 languages and at more than 200 locations around the world.

This event, held jointly by the BCS Malta Section (www.bcs.org.mt) and ISACA Malta Chapter (www.isaca-malta.org), will present business continuity management (BCM) for Data Centres.
