Rolling Meadows, IL, USA (15 September 2009)—Recent events, corporate scandals, government regulations and changes in the business environment have increased the importance of IS audit and affected the methodologies that auditors use. To reflect the growing demands of the field and help universities develop and update relevant courses, ISACA has released a second edition of its Model Curriculum for IS Audit and Control.

The Invitation to Participate/Call for Nominations is now available. Members are invited to volunteer to serve on an ISACA board, committee or subcommittee during the 2010-2011 term. Members are also welcome to nominate themselves or other members to a position on the ISACA Board of Directors.

UPDATE - The early exam registration deadline has been extended to Friday, 21 August 2009–5:00pm Central Time (Chicago, Illinois, USA).

Early registration for the 12 December 2009 CISA, CISM and CGEIT certification exams ends 19 August 2009. Register for your exam early and save $50 (USD). For registration information, visit www.isaca.org/examreg. (Note:  The final registration deadline is 23 September 2009.)
