The new Board of the ISACA Malta Chapter met on Thursday 21st July 2011. During the meeting the Board agreed that Eric Muscat, Vladimiro Comodini, Gian Carlo Millo and Anthony Formosa be re-confirmed as President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Moreover a number of responsibilities were discussed and allocated amongst the Board members. Click here to view the new Board and assigned responsibilities.

AGM 2011 held and new Board formed PDF Print E-mail

The Annual general meeting of the ISACA Malta Chapter was held on Thursday 7th July 2011 at the RadissonBlu Resort Hotel. The AGM was attended by 18 active members. The AGM opened with an address from Eric Muscat, the 2010-2011 Chapter president. Eric outlined the vision and strategy that the outgoing Board followed during the past year. The Chapter's Secretary, Gian Carlo Millo,  then presented facts and details regarding the past year's chapter achievements, activities and events. Gian  Carlo also presented statistics and figures regarding the membership. Anthony Formosa, the Chapter's Treasurer, then gave an overview of the Chapters financial details for the past year. The Board was then dissolved by the Chapter's President. The Nomination and Election Committee made up of Anthony Formosa (Chairman), Gian Carlo Millo and Ivo Galea, then took over the course of the meeting. A total of nine nominees were received which include 6 from the previous Board and three new Nominees. A motion was made to the assembly that instead of holding an election all nine nominees will be accepted to form the Board of Directors for 2011-2012. This motion was accepted unanimously by the members present. Therefore the Board of Directors of the ISACA Malta Chapter for the year 2011-2012 will be formed of:

Robert C Cachia, Simon Camilleri, Vladimiro Comodini, Miriam De Gabriele, Robert Farrugia, Anthony Formosa, Gordon Micallef, Gian Carlo Millo and Eric Muscat. 

The new Board will be meeting the next few days to decide and agree on the formation of the Board Officials (President, V President, Secretary and Treasurer) and other responsibilities amongst the Board Members.

The August ISACA® and SearchCompliance.com virtual seminar and tradeshow, titled “Enterprise Risk Management: Mitigation Strategies for Today’s Global Enterprise,” will offer you the opportunity to hear what the experts are saying on enterprise risk management (ERM). The event will begin with a special keynote address providing European perspectives on ERM and enterprise risk frameworks. Additional sessions will discuss supply chain risk management, the sustainability of an ERM infrastructure and the human component of successful ERM programs.
