This policy is based on a board decision taken on the 5th March, 2009.
Version 1.0 - March, 2009 IntroductionA number of publications of interest to our membership are made available by organizations. These publications may not always reach all interested parties, particularly in the local context. ObjectiveThe objective of this policy is to provide another distribution channel for publications by reputable sources, in a controlled and fair manner, which are of interest and benefit to the membership. PolicyThe ISACA MALTA CHAPTER will accept to distribute to its members publications originating from any source with content that is of interest to IT Governance, Assurance and Security practitioners. The publications presented must satisfy the following requirements: - Content must be of interest to the membership: namely it must cover IT Governance, Assurance or Security content.
- It must not be product specific.
- It must be a result of research, survey or thought leadership content.
- It must be free for distribution without any obligations on the part of the Chapter or its members.
- The publication must be made available electronically to the chapter members either via a link to the website of the publisher or to the Chapter website. Both methods are acceptable.
- Only English language or Maltese language publications will be considered.
- The Chapter will not be made liable for any infringements to copyright or other restrictions that could be made by any of its members.
- ISACA MALTA CHAPTER reserves the right to withdraw any publication on its website at its discretion.
Any publication may be refused for distribution by the Board of the ISACA MALTA CHAPTER at its absolute discretion. Any publication that is issued by ISACA / ITGI, or sponsored, or approved by ISACA/ITGI will automatically qualify for distribution. DisclaimerBecause it is one objective of the ISACA Malta Chapter to be a forum for the free expression and interchange of ideas, statements of position or expression of opinion appearing in a publication are those of the author(s) and not by the fact of publication necessarily those of the ISACA Malta Chapter or its directors and officers. ISACA does not warrant the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the information contained in the publications. The Board oversees and administers the publications it distributes based on the publication policy but should not be held accountable for any of the information found in the publications. ApplicabilityAny legal or natural person or persons may submit publications that comply with this policy for distribution amongst its membership and/or publishing on the Malta chapter website. should you wish to submit a request to be included in our list of approved publishers. Any legal or natural person or persons whose publications satisfy the requirements of this policy and have requested distribution of one or more publications will have their name/s published on the Malta Chapter website.
