Talking security – opportunities, lessons learnt - ISACA EDUCATIONAL EVENT

In the last few years information security has been promoted to a frequent discussion topic on the board of directors agenda. The reasons can be as diverse as seeing an opportunity for the company, to less enviable situations where breaches have occurred and remedial action is required at all levels of the organisation. The presentation will outline the approach MITA selected to strengthen its information security profile in the last four years, focusing on lessons learnt in the process.
Rodney Naudi (Information Security Department Manager at MITA). MITA is the Maltese government's in-house ICT agency which is the primary Government body driving ICT development and the provider of all ICT services to Government. Mr Naudi joined MITA (then MITTS) in 1999 working in the field of quality management, compliance and assurance. He was appointed as Department Manager for Information Security in 2008, responsible for the agency’s ISO27001 accreditation process and information security strategy. Since 2010 Mr Naudi is a management board member on ENISA. Mr Naudi is also an assistant lecturer at the University of Malta’s Faculty of ICT.
