Mr. Bajada was first involved in the field of forensics in early 1993 when he was appointed by the Magistrates’ Court on two cases in which a substantial
amount of computer equipment had been seized and which required analysis as to content and use. This appointment eventually led Mr. Bajada to become Malta’s only freelance full time forensic expert.
In 2005 he decided to read Law at the University of Malta with the ultimate objective of further strengthening his role as a forensic consultant in the area of electronic evidence and electronic crime. In the process he also branched into questioned document analysis and intellectual property rights infringements; both areas make heavy use of electronic equipment in the process of their analysis.
Over these seventeen years he worked on more than 1,500 cases concerning homicide, organised crime, money laundering, drug trafficking, misappropriation, theft, fraud, intellectual property rights, computer misuse and questioned documents. Today, at any point in time he would have a workload of around 45 cases.
